Lyle Lovett and His Large Band announce large summer tour
8333P

Texas music icon Lyle Lovett will bring his unique blend of country, rock, blues and swing to North American audiences on a summer tour. The four-time Grammy Award winner will perform hits like "If I Had A Boat," "She's No Lady" and "You've Got A Friend In Me" to audiences starting in mid-July.

With 40 years of writing, recording and performing under his belt, the 59-year-old entertainer has considered retiring. "You know, I started getting questions about retirement when I was about 55 years old, and I thought to myself, if retiring is having enough time to just do things you love to do, then I’ve been retired my whole life," he shared. "I don’t see any need to retire from doing something I would want to do anyway."

Lovett will keep doing the thing he loves this summer in prestigious venues including Saratoga's Mountain Winery, Denver's Red Rocks Amphitheatre (with special guests The Nitty Gritty Dirt Band), the Capitol Theatre in Port Chester, New York, Atlanta Symphony Hall and Birmingham's Alabama Theatre.
