Fresh on the heels of her “Saturday Night Live” debut, indie-pop singer-songwriter Maggie Rogers has announced an additional date at Denver’s Ogden Theatre for the spring of 2019. After selling out her previously announced engagement at the Ogden on Tuesday, April 9, Rogers will return to the Denver venue on Wednesday, April 10 with special guest Melanie Frye. According to Vogue, Rogers’ song “Alaska” grabbed the attention of Pharrell Williams when she played it for him during a master class while a senior at NYU. A video of the moment went viral, opening up a number of doors for the young singer-songwriter.
“Alaska” appears on Rogers’ debut EP Now That The Light is Fading and also caught the attention of a number of other prominent producers, including Tycho, Sofi Tukker and SOHN, who all remixed the song. Rogers recently released the single "Light On" (see the video above), ahead of her debut full-length album, Heard It in a Past Life, which arrives on Jan. 18, 2019.
