Elusive singer and producer Michl is set to perform a handful of dates later in the fall of 2018 and will take the stage in his hometown of Los Angeles, California at The Roxy on Oct. 12, 2018 (Tickets). Though Michl has a short catalog over the span of two years, his songs hit deep with more emotion than mainstream artists could pack into one album.
Tickets for Michl's show at The Roxy, presented by Goldenvoice, are on sale now and begin at $17 and the performance is open to all ages. Doors open at 8:00 p.m. with the show beginning at 9:00 p.m. Michl will perform a collection of songs including favorites "Die Trying" and "Kill Our Way to Heaven."
Michl has remained virtually a mystery outside of his self-titled EP and singles he's released since 2016. Nothing is known about who he is or where he comes from and perhaps that's the magic that is Michl - revealing mere pieces of himself through moody songs such as "Broken Roots" and "Everything'll Change." There are no press photos or glossy music videos to accompany his songs nor is there an official biography of the electronic indie artist.
In 2018, Michl has released a handful of singles continuing his streak of primarily one-off songs with his latest being "Tell Her," a tender ballad reassuring his love for someone in his life. "I'll never be challenged/ And I won't be too proud/ Because love is not boastful and love is not loud," he sings in the song released in June 2018, originally performed by Lauryn Hill. Prior to his take on the underappreciated Hill track, Michl released "I'd Do It All Again" and "Better with You," a song appreciating the person he has despite not having much. "This hell feels better with you," he sings about his current situation.
