It's the final chart update of the first month of 2017 and Migos are continuing to spend another week at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 songs chart. "Bad and Boujee" featuring Lil Uzi Vert locks in its third week on the Jan. 31 refresh following the tracking week ending Jan. 26.
The song stays at No. 1 for a third non-consecutive frame with an increase in radio airplay guiding its lead. On Radio Songs, "Boujee" moves from No. 27 to No. 23 having 49 million impressions in an all-genre format, any station that is playing the track. The tally increases by 20 percent for the week. It should also be noted that radio airplay is tracked Monday through Sunday versus sales and streaming data which is tracked Friday through Thursday.
Over on Digital Songs, the song moves up from No. 4 to No. 3 having 51,000 in download sales despite the track losing 25 percent of its download activity. On Streaming Songs, "Bad and Boujee" stays put at No. 1 for a fifth week with 47 million hits on official streaming platforms. It also spends a fifth week at No. 1 on the On-Demand Streaming chart with 19.7 million of that 47 million being user initiated clicks. In addition, the track is No. 1 on both the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart and Hot Rap Songs for a fifth week each.
The No. 1 hit comes from Migos' second record Culture which was released on Jan. 27 and is expected to debut with decent activity on next week's chart. Streams and track downloads also count towards the final Top 200 Albums chart, a change made in Dec. 2014 to reflect the changing landscape of music consumption.
Ed Sheeran's No. 1 leader "Shape of You" remains at No. 2 for a second week after becoming the 27th song to debut at the top. Though it's down 14 percent on Digital Songs, it is still the best-selling song of the week with 104,000 downloads. It holds at No. 2 on Streaming Songs with 26.5 million streams. "Shape" continues to rise on radio having 93 million impressions, up 25 percent and has the Airplay Gainer Award for a second week. It moves from No. 12 into the top at No. 5. The song is expected to continue to have significant activity for next week's chart due to the official music video being released on Jan. 30 which at time of publication has received over 14 million views on one day.
