Dallas native Miranda Lambert has done a lot over the years to give back to her hometown community and while she no longer lives in the DFW area, that doesn't stop her from continuing to show support for her hometown. Taste of Country reported that Lambert is now helping out with animals in her hometown of Lindale, Texas, with a new adoption center.

Lambert is partnering with Rescue Rebuild to open the MuttNation Station adoption center. This is an endeavor that Lambert is sponsoring through her MuttNation Foundation rescue organization. According to the report, the center will open on a two-acre plot of land in Darden Harvest Park. There will also be a dog park opened in the location as well.

Lambert founded her foundation alongside her mother Bev and the two of them showed up at the ribbon-cutting ceremony on Oct. 25. Lambert has busily put the word out about the upcoming pet adoption center and said that she is thankful to help find a way to find loving homes for the dogs. Pet adoptions start in just two weeks.

Miranda Lambert was touring in support of her 2016 album The Weight of These Wings. She toured outside of North America for the first time last year but is back in North America for some upcoming tour dates. Grab tickets for upcoming Miranda Lambert shows right here on AXS.
