Back in July, jam favorites moe. announced they were cancelling a series of live dates and going on "an indefinite hiatus" after the band’s bassist/vocalist, Rob Derhak, revealed that he was diagnosed with Nasopharyngeal Cancer. Thankfully, Derhak has "made tremendous strides in his recovery" and the band has announced a summer 2018 date at Colorado's beautiful Red Rocks Amphitheatre.
moe. will be performing at Red Rocks with a yet-to-be-announced special guest on July 12, 2018. Tickets for the show go on sale Friday. December 1, but fans can follow this link to request tickets and an exclusive Emek event poster until Tuesday, November 28. Click here to buy tickets to the show on AXS.com.
Speaking about his recovery, Derhak said, “It’s been a tough few months, and I couldn’t have done it without the overwhelming support of my family, and my famoe.ly. And although it’s still not clear what the future brings, the positivity and love that I’m feeling for moe.’s and my next chapter is beyond exciting. I feel like a kid counting down the days until Christmas, and our energy as a band, is like nothing I’ve experienced before. Thank you all for the well wishes, prayers, and healing vibes.”
Last year's Aug. 13 Red Rocks show with Twiddle and Pigeons Playing Ping Pong was among the dates the band was forced to cancel following Derhak's diagnosis. In addition to the newly-announced 2018 Red Rocks date, moe. quickly sold out two shows at The Capitol Theatre in Port Chester, New York on February 2-3.
