Nashville band Mona will pack up their stylish grooves for a trip up north to Rough Trade NYC on May 8, where they will bring Brooklynites jams from their recent release In the Middle, a six-song EP frontman Nick Brown described as a mix of "fist pumping, white t-shirts, Marlon Brando, James Dean, sex and God." They will be joined by Charlotte two-piece Flagship.
Ahead of their U.S. tour, Mona will warm up in Europe, where they'll prove their down-home anthems can rock anywhere. “I was raised in a trailer park and my boys are from a small town in Kentucky,” Brown recently said. “We’ve seen a lot and we’ve done a lot, but we still have that good ol’ boy, kind of white trash vibe. I think that resonates with people.”
The long-awaited In The Middle EP was the band's first release in three years, following up their 2013 sophomore LPTorches & Pitchforks, released via Mercury Records. They are currently signed to Bright Antenna Records alongside UK rockers The Wombats. Take a listen to "In The Middle" below and grab tickets to Mona's May 8 show at Rough Trade NYC here.
