Cardi B is wasting no time picking her career up right where she left off before giving birth to her first child with Migos’ Offset earlier this summer. The “I Like It” rapper has announced that she will be one of the featured performers at this year’s Tropicália Music & Taco Festival in Long Beach, California on Nov. 3-4. The weekend event will return for its second year at the Queen Mary Park in southern California with musical performances by Morrissey, Kali Uchis, Mac DeMarco, Chicano Batman, Mazzy Star and Albert Hammond Jr., just to name a few.
The 2018 lineup for the Southern California fall festival was revealed on Tuesday evening and will take place rain or shine for all ages. Patrons will enjoy delicious tacos while listening to some of the hottest pop and Latin crossover acts in music all weekend long. Both Kali Uchis and Chicano Batman performed at the festival in 2017, which is seeming to grow impressively with the emergence of bigger, mainstream artists. The two-day event almost acts as one of the trendier music festivals that include both mainstream indie rock and pop artists being mixed in with an abundance of Latin bands and artists, as more culturally rich music inspired by that area of the world continues to thrive amongst young American audiences. In addition to featuring Latin acts such as Cuco, Como La Flor Band and hometown cumbia group Los Angeles Azules, this year’s Tropicália poster also includes various indie rock names including Allah-Las, Frankie Cosmos and The Regrettes.
Morrissey released his last studio album back in 2017 with Low in High School, and according to the L.A. Times, will be celebrating the city’s official Morrissey Day a few days after the event on Nov. 10.
Tickets for the Festival will be going on sale starting this Friday, August 10, and can be purchased by clicking here.
