Mountain Winery 2018 lineup: The Roots, Willie Nelson, Roger Daltrey and many more
NPR Music/YouTube

The highly anticipated 2018 lineup for the picturesque Mountain Winery is out and as usual provides a wide variety of bands and artists for any music lover. The summer season in Saratoga, Calif. kicks off on May 30 with the legendary Tom Jones, followed by the first show in June, singer-songwriters Stephen Stills and Judy Collins

June’s lineup at Mountain Winery reads like a trip through popular music history with Tony Bennett, Brian Setzer’s Rockabilly Riot, Eric Burdon & The Animals, The Isley Brothers & The Commodores, Pretenders, Violent Femmes, Indigo Girls, Barenaked Ladies, The Roots and more. June closes out with comedy legends Steve Martin & Martin Short.

July’s lineup is perhaps the most eclectic of Mountain Winery’s already eclectic season. The month gets underway with the crooner-rock of Chris Isaak, followed by the a capella stylings of Straight No Chaser, the soul of Corinne Bailey Rae and Seal, as well as the good ol’ rock & roll of Melissa Etheridge. July also features the sweet uke sounds of Jake Shimabukuro, Pink Floyd tribute Brit Floyd and American Idol Live! The month closes with two more legendary performers, bluesmen Taj Mahal and Keb' Mo’.

August’s lineup is jam-packed and brings in some country flavor with acts like Willie Nelson & Alison Krauss as well as country-tinged singer-songwriter Brandi Carlile. There’s a lot for reggae fans to be excited about as well with Ziggy Marley, Steel Pulse, Tribal Seeds and UB40. If you’re feeling a little nostalgic for the 60s you can check out The Temptations & The Fours Tops or Ultimate Beatles Tribute The Fab Four. Other notable shows in August include rock legends Jerry Lee Lewis, Buddy Guy, Roger Daltrey and Joan Jett. August closes with explosive flamenco group Rodrigo y Gabriela.

Mountain Winery wraps up their summer season strong with an amazing September lineup beginning with a tribute to The 80s featuring Flock of Seagulls, Wang Chung and more. But you’re going to want to stick around for Hot Tuna, The Mavericks & Los Lobos, Lyle Lovett and His Large Band, The Beach Boys, Boy George & Culture Club, Norah Jones, Cheap Trick with Ann Wilson of Heart, Linda Ronstadt and more. Mountain Winery closes out their 2018 season with an alumni tribute to the incomparable David Bowie.
