Los Angeles-based folk rockers Mt. Joy is set to swing through Denver’s Gothic Theatre in the spring of 2019 to support their 2018 self-titled debut. Mt. Joy will play the Gothic on Tuesday, March 19 with Denver folk-rock favorites Whitacre. You can find ticket info on AXS by following this link.

Mt. Joy formed around the Philadelphia friendship of songwriter Matt Quinn and guitarist Sam Cooper. The band, however, wouldn’t reach the heights they now enjoy until the duo reformed in Los Angeles. Rounding out the group is bassist and multi-instrumentalist Michael Byrnes, keyboardist Jackie Miclau and drummer Sotiris Eliopoulos.

Mt. Joy grabbed national attention with the runaway success of their single “Astrovan” (watch the video above), which has racked up over 5 million streams on Spotify. After the success of “Astrovan,” Spotify invited Mt. Joy to record a Spotify Singles session where they delivered a live rendition of the Mt. Joy track “Silver Lining” as well as a cover of Neil Young’s “Don’t Let It Bring You Down.” You can listen to Mt. Joy’s Spotify Singles session below.

Don’t miss your chance to catch Mt. Joy when they come to Denver’s Gothic Theatre on March 19.
