Music Hall of Williamsburg to host Shout Out Louds

Music Hall of Williamsburg will host Swedish indie pop outfit Shout Out Louds at 9 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 3 with special guest Surf Rock Is Dead.

Shout Out Louds are promoting their recently released fifth full-length, Ease My Mind, which emerged back on Sept. 22 via Merge Records. The album, the band’s first since 2013’s Optica, included the singles “Oh Oh,” “Jumbo Jet,” and “Porcelain.”

Our Ill Wills, Shout Out Louds sophomore studio long-player, celebrated its 10th anniversary earlier this year. The 12-track collection, released back in 2007, was produced by Björn Yttling of fellow Swedish indie pop outfit Peter Bjorn and John. Our Ill Wills was supported by the singles “Tonight I Have to Leave It” and “Impossible.”

Shout Out Louds dropped the international version of their studio debut, Howl Howl Gaff Gaff, in May 2005. The album gave birth to the singles “Very Loud,” “Shut Your Eyes,” “Very Loud,” “The Comeback,” and “Please Please Please.”

The band has previously shared the stage with the likes of The Strokes and The Rosebuds.

Surf Rock is Dead, a Brooklyn-based dream-pop duo, will open the show. The duo released its latest EP, We Have No Friends?, back on Oct. 6 via The Native Sound on both vinyl and digital formats. The 5-track release was preceded by the psych-pop single “As If.”

Tickets, $25, can be purchased here at Doors open at 8 p.m. This is an 18 & over event. Music Hall of Williamsburg is located at 66 North 6th Street in Brooklyn, N.Y. For more information, visit Shout Out Loud’s website and Music Hall of Williamsburg’s website.
