Turns out N.E.R.D. and sports go together after all.
The NBA has announced that Pharrell Williams' band N.E.R.D. will perform during halftime at the 2018 NBA All-Star Game in Los Angeles on Feb. 18. According to the Associated Press, the band will perform "a medley of chart-topping hits." Last month, the group released its fifth album, No One Ever Really Dies.
In addition to N.E.R.D., Grammy-winner Fergie will sing "The Star-Spangled Banner" before the game. Last year Fergie released the album Double Dutchess, which included the amazing Nicki Minaj collaboration "You Already Know." The Canadian alt rock quartet Barenaked Ladies, who are touring this summer in honor of their 30th anniversary, will sing "O Canada." Comedian and four-time NBA All-Star Celebrity Game MVP Kevin Hart will handle the team introductions.
