Dave Chappelle is returning to the small screen on New Year's Eve. The comic has teamed up with Netflix to announce e·qua·nim·i·ty, his third special via the streaming juggernaut this year. Netflix revealed the upcoming special through a "Stranger Things"-themed trailer. Watch the funny video below.
In a pivotal season one scene, "Stranger Things" character Eleven uses her mind to throw back security guards looking to detain her. A superimposed Chappelle brings some humor to the intense scene, asking Eleven to do him next in the 22-second clip. The 44-year-old previously worked with the kid-friendly cast of the hit Netflix original during the 2017 Emmys, in which he asks them to erase the cookies on his laptop as they break into the AV room.
e·qua·nim·i·ty will be the third and final installment in Chappelle's Netflix contract. It follows The Age of Spin: Dave Chappelle Live at the Hollywood Palladium and Deep in the Heart of Texas: Dave Chappelle Live at Austin City Limits, both of which premiered earlier this year. The bulk of e·qua·nim·i·ty was filmed during one of Chappelle's stand-up shows at the Lincoln Theater in Washington, D.C. back in September.
