New York Mets hunk Lucas Duda deserves spot in ESPN the Magazine's 'Body Issue'

The New York Mets barely have anyone worthy of an All-Star nod, but they do have a guy with an All-Star bod -- 31-year-old first baseman Lucas Duda.

The hard-hitting, baby-faced slugger has been making baseball fans in the "Big Apple" forget all about the Mets' putrid season, as he's been lighting it up off the field with a charming Instagram profile that shows off both his cute personality and chiseled physique. Duda gave fans a look at his softer side last month on social media, hilariously slam-dunking a donut into a trash can at Citi Field.

There's another recent post on there showing the big man getting a fresh cut of his luscious locks. Additionally, Duda has a couple posts up that reveals how he dresses off-the-field. The man always looks sharp, with his hair on-point and shirts tailored to provide a nice glimpse of his rippling biceps.

The Amazins' are behind the first-place Washington Nationals by double-digits, but Duda's adorable smile, toned torso and great attitude make the Mets worth watching all season long. Even when the Mets are out of the playoff hunt, the stud at first base is must-see television.

Fans really seem to enjoy following Duda on Instagram and checking him out on the field, but now it's time to take matters a step further by getting him into ESPN the Magazine's annual "Body Issue." Duda is the Mets' first handsome, muscle-bound hunk to catch on with female fans since David Wright in 2004.

His 6-foot-4, 255-pound frame is an absolute wonder of science, and fans would love to see what he looks like underneath the uniform. With the 2017 installment of the "Body Issue" due out in July, it may be too late for Duda to get in on the action for this year. But hopefully ESPN gives him a look the next time they scout for an issue.
