On Sept. 15 it was announced in an official press release that Weezer and Fall Out Boy will headline the upcoming 5th annual The Big Ticket Festival. It will take place this year on Dec. 5 in Jacksonville, Florida. at the Metropolitan Park.
This event is being put on by the radio station X102.9 and MetroPCS. In the press release the festival producer Danny Wimmer of Danny Wimmer Presents said, “Going into our 5th year of The Big Ticket with X102.9, I could not be more thrilled to continue our partnership with the station and program director Aaron Schachter."
Other acts set to perform that day include the British band alt-J, Young The Giant, Chevelle, New Politics, J Roddy, Big Data, Bear Hands, Young Rising Sons, and Islander.
Pre-sale tickets will be on sale from Sept. 19 through Sept. 21. During that time there will be a limited number of discounted tickets. The discounted prices are $34.50 per general admission ticket and $89.50 per VIP pass.
Beginning Sept. 22 general admission tickets are $39.50 each, a VIP pass stays the same at $89.50 each, and a 4-pack of tickets will be $118.50. A VIP ticket will get you express access into the festival, access to a lounge which will have food and drink services, and a premium view of the main stage.
