Justin Bieber is set to play a big concert at the American Airlines Center in Dallas on Sunday, April 10, and fans of Bieber might want to make sure that they don’t skip school the next day. KFOR in Oklahoma reported on Friday that Bieber made a special appearance at Central High School in Tulsa to surprise students that morning before performing at the BOK Center on Friday night. With no concert scheduled for Monday, could Bieber stick around Dallas long enough to surprise kids in the DFW area?
Bieber announced that he was giving back in Tulsa that day before showing up at Central High. He also donated $10,000 to the school, which is huge since Oklahoma is cutting back on many programs at state schools, including cutting out music programs at many schools. He actually performed at the school and that performance will air on the 2016 Radio Disney Music Awards show on May 1.
Bieber kicked off his Purpose World Tour on March 9 in Seattle, where over 12,000 fans flooded into the KeyArena for the show. He also had a three-date performance at the Staples Center in Los Angeles that saw a total of over 41,000 fans show up for his concert. The Dallas show on April 10 is the second of two Texas stops, following a Houston concert on Saturday night. Dallas native Post Malone and Moxie Raia will open for Bieber for these concerts.
While Taylor Swift leads the 2016 Radio Disney Music Awards with six nominations, Bieber is a close second with five nominations followed by One Direction, who have four. Bieber is up for Best Male Artist, Most Talked About Artist, Best Breakup Song, and Best Song to Lip Sync To. His fans, the Belibers, are also up for the award for Fiercest Fans.
