Paul McCartney, who just Wednesday added Minneapolis to his One on One tour, announced Thursday he will play a second show in the Twin Cities. The new show is on May 5 at the Target Center, a day after the first show on May 4. This has been a busy week for his burgeoning tour. Also on Wednesday, he announced a show in Paris May 30 at the Accor Arena. He also added a June 2 show at the Vicente Calderón Stadium in Madrid, Spain on Tuesday.
The Target Center in Minneapolis and a local radio station there had alerted fans something might be in the works on Tuesday. “You heard right: We've got a CONCERT ANNOUNCEMENT OF ROYAL PROPORTIONS tomorrow at 8am! Any guesses?,” the tweet from the venue read.
The ticket pre-sales for American Express card members for both Minneapolis shows will start at 10 a.m. local time Thursday and run through 10 p.m. local time March 20. General sale tickets go on sale March 21 at 10 a.m. Tickets for all the U.S. One On One shows are available here.
This makes a total of 16 dates now on the One on One Tour. The first show is April 13 in Fresno, California, at Save Mart Center. Other shows follow in Portland, Oregon; Seattle, Washington; North Little Rock, Arkansas; Sioux Falls, South Dakota; and Minneapolis, Minnesota, with two others in Vancouver, British Columbia. After Sioux Falls, the tour will jump to Dusseldorf, Germany at the end of May, then Paris, Madrid, Munich and Berlin from May into June. The tour will also hit two rock festivals in June in the Netherlands and Belgium.
