Paul McCartney announced March 9 he'll be doing seven North American shows as part of his newly renamed One On One Tour, formerly the Out There tour. The tour will open April 13 with McCartney's first ever appearance in Fresno, California at the SaveMart Arena. Additional dates announced today are April 15 at the Moda Center in Portland, Oregon; April 17 at Key Arena in Seattle, Washington; April 19 and 20 at Rogers Arena in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, April 30 at the Verizon Arena in Little Rock, Arkansas and May 2 at the Denny Sanford Premier Center in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. The press announcement said the new tour will include a re-designed set and songs covering McCartney's entire career from his Beatle days through his solo career. Other One On One dates, including some foreign shows, have been rumored but were not revealed today.
Tickets for the newly announced dates will go on sale March 14 at 10 a.m. local time. American Express card members can purchase tickets before the general public beginning March 10 at 10 a.m. local time through March 13 at 10 p.m. local time. Verizon Arena jumped the gun a day early by showing the on-sale date on its calendar Tuesday night before the official announcement today. A graphic with the Portland show also was reportedly on Ticketmaster several days early, but was later taken down.
The Out There, which ended last October in Buffalo, New York, played 27 shows in 22 cities throughout the world in 2015. The shows included concerts in the Far East and several rock festivals, including Lollapalooza.
