Paul McCartney fans in Minneapolis can't get enough of the iconic British pop-rocker. Due to overwhelming popular demand, the ex-Beatle has added a second show in the Twin Cities on May 5 at Target Center.

The Star Tribune reports on March 17 that presale tickets for the two-time Rock and Roll Hall of Famer's initial May 4 show at the Target Center went on sale Thursday and brisk sales prompted promoters AEG Live/MAUSA to add the second show even before tickets became available to the general public for the first show. The concerts marks the "Band on the Run" hitmaker's first appearance in the Minneapolis since his sell out show on Aug. 2, 2014 at Target Field.

The dates are part of the 21-time Grammy winner's brand new One On One Tour, which was announced earlier this month. The world romp so far includes nine shows in the U.S. and Canada, as well as several dates stops in Europe.

“Basically we had an overwhelming response like we’ve never seen before,” said Target Center spokeswoman Anna Barberio. “Calls, emails, group requests... all signs led to show No. 2.”

Pre-sales for both the May 4 and the new May 5 shows are available now through Sun., March 20 at 10 p.m. local time. Tickets for both shows go on sale to the public Mon., March 21 at 10:00 a.m. local time. For more information, click here.

The One On One Tour boasts a re-designed set with state of the art audio and video technology, as well as massive LED screens, lasers and fireworks. McCartney's setlist includes smash hits and beloved album tracks from celebrated years with The Beatles and Wings, as well as from his hugely successful solo career.

Earlier this week, the ex-Wings superstar also announced two other new stops, including May 30 in Paris at AccorHotels Arena, as well as on June 2 in Madrid at Estadio Vicente Calderon. The world tour will launch April 13 in Fresno, California, at Save Mart Center. Tickets for this and other select Paul McCartney shows are available at AXS.
