Paul McCartney announced a new date on Tuesday for his just-launched summer One On One tour. The newly announced concert will take place on Thursday, June 2 at Vicente Calderón Stadium in Madrid, Spain. Pre-sale tickets will go on sale at 10 a.m. local time this Thursday. That makes a total of 13 shows on the newest set of McCartney tour dates. The first concert, which begins a short spin in North America, will take place April 13 in Fresno, California, at Save Mart Center. Other North American shows follow in Portland, Oregon; Seattle, Washington; North Little Rock, Arkansas; Sioux Falls, South Dakota; and two in Vancouver, British Columbia. After Sioux Falls, the tour will jump to Dusseldorf, Germany at the end of May, then Madrid, Munich and Berlin into June. The tour will also hit two rock festivals in June in the Netherlands and Belgium.
Meanwhile, Target Center in Minnesota tweeted a hint Tuesday night that it will be announcing a concert Wednesday morning “of royal proportions.” "You heard right: We've got a CONCERT ANNOUNCEMENT OF ROYAL PROPORTIONS tomorrow at 8 a.m.! Any guesses?,” the hint said. And a Minneapolis radio station KQRS also got intp the act with the post, "Huge concert announcement tomorrow at 8."
McCartney's previous Out There tour, which ended last October in Buffalo, New York, played 27 shows in 22 cities in 2015. The shows included concerts in the Far East and several rock festivals, among them Lollapalooza. Meanwhile, McCartney's singing son James is also on the road this summer. His next show is May 10 at the Coach House in San Juan Capistrano, California.
