Watch: Kelly Clarkson beats down like a waterfall for 'Invincible' lyric video

Kelly Clarkson connects the dots piece by piece in her brand new "Invincible" lyric video. As the second single from her latest LP, the thumping pop track follows her previous hit and first album sampling "The Heartbeat Song," both cuts are anthemic and empowering in nature. The new release, however, offers up a far more complex and captivating vocal and musical nuance, as found on most of her Piece by Piece record, than her previous work.

The lyric video officially premiered Friday (May 15) on VEVO and YouTube channels. Take a look above.

Clarkson, who has previously dabbled extensively in country, is expected to venture into a full-length country album. Rumors have been swirling for sometime, particularly after her Jason Aldean collaboration ("Why Don't You Stay") and a sequence of country radio-only entries: "Don't Rush" (from her greatest hits compilation) and "Tie It Up" (a one-off song, with no album base). She's also married to Brandon Blackstock, son of Narvel Blackstock (husband to living country legend Reba McEntire). Clarkson actually continued the family blood line last year with the birth of her incredibly adorable daughter River Rose, who has already started in the family business when the pop diva teased "The Heartbeat Song" with footage of River.

Clarkson is expected to launch her Piece By Piece Tour this fall, with a capella five-piece Pentatonix in tow.
