Irish singer-songwriter Niall Horan premiered the lyric video for his single "Slow Hands" on May 15. It shows behind-the-scenes footage of the One Direction member gone solo.

"Slow Hands" is the second single from Horan's upcoming debut album. It follows last year's lead single "This Town." While that was a gentle ballad, "Hands" sees Niall take on a grittier and funkier sound. The beat thumps and bumps as a woman puts the moves on the 23-year-old. "We should take this back to my place / That's what she said back to my face," he sings with smoky vocals. The former boybander eases nice and slow into his sultriest banger yet.

Horan released the lyric video for "Slow Hands" and instead of just the words flashing across the screen, he offers a lot of insight into his time since taking a break from 1D. The clip shows Niall behind-the-scenes as he gets ready for live gigs and records the new single in the studio. It's probably the most hands-on lyric video out there highlighting Horan's solo rise.

"Slow Hands" is now available on iTunes and Apple Music. No word yet on when to expect his debut album on Capitol Records.
