Nicki Minaj and 2 Chainz perform at the 2017 NBA Awards

Nicki Minaj and 2 Chainz of performed at the 2017 NBA Awards at Pier 36 in New York City, New York on Monday. Minaj and 2 Chainz performed the song "Realize", while Minaj also sang "No Frauds" and "Swish Swish."

In the past, Minaj has won 10 BET awards and six American music awards. 2 Chainz meanwhile also was recognized for his music excellence this year as he won the 2017 Grammy Award for best rap performance for the song, "No Problem."

This was the first ever NBA Awards show. Russell Westbrook of the Oklahoma City Thunder won the most valuable player award. Westbrook set the NBA record for most triple doubles in a season in 2016-17 (42). Other NBA Award winners were Malcolm Brogdon of the Milwaukee Bucks (NBA rookie of the year), Eric Gordon of the Houston Rockets (NBA sixth man of the year), Giannis Antetokounmpo of the Bucks (NBA most improved player), Mike D'Antoni of the Houston Rockets (NBA Coach of the Year) and Draymond Green of the Golden State Warriors (NBA best defensive player of the year). Green and Westbrook have both won a gold medal for the United States at the Olympic Games. Westbrook won at the 2012 Olympic Games in London and Green won at the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro.
