Nicki Minaj is adding an accolade to her resume that is both historic and something to respect. On the March 21 Billboard Hot 100 chart update, Minaj has three new songs recently released that are charting on the songs chart. "Changed It" with Lil Wayne, "Regret in Your Tears" and "No Frauds" with Lil Wayne and Drake are all debuting on the chart that combines sales, streams and radio airplay. Minaj now logs 76 total entries on the chart.
Nicki Minaj now bests Aretha Franklin's total entries on the chart in its history for a female artist. Franklin had racked up 73 in her career and all were lead credited to her name where Minaj has 32 that are songs belonging to her. The other 44 tracks include Minaj as a featured artist though it should be noted collaborations were not as common during Franklin's longtime career.
"Changed It" debuts on the Hot 100 at No. 71 and at No. 13 on Digital Songs sales with 35,000 copies sold. The track received 4.8 million streams through official platforms such as Spotify. "Regret in Your Tears" opens at No. 61 with 39,000 downloads sold and debuts at No. 10 on the singles sales tally while also bringing in 4.4 million streams. Lastly, "No Frauds" featuring Lil Wayne and Drake makes a solid debut at No. 14 on the major songs chart and opens at a high No. 2 on Digital Songs selling 79,000 downloads. It also has the most streams of the three new tracks with 12.1 million listens.
Remarkably, Aretha Franklin has held the record for a female act for more than 40 years. Minaj tied Franklin in 2017 with the track "Make Love" as a featured guest for Gucci Mane when. Minaj first appeared on the Hot 100 in 2010 on Lil Wayne's track "Knockout" and her highest-peaking hit overall was "Anaconda" which reached No. 2 in 2014.
Following Minaj and Franklin is Taylor Swift with 70 entries, Rihanna with 58 and Madonna having 57 rounding out the top 5.
