Three-time Grammy winner Kelly Clarkson is having great success with her recent album Piece by Piece debuting at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart. The proud new mom will be going on tour to support the album, beginning in July and tickets for her July 26 stop at DTE Music Energy Theatre in Clarkston, Michigan go on sale to the general public on March 14 at 10 a.m. ET.

Clarkson will be joined on tour by special guest Pentatonix (PTX) and Eric Hutchinson. Pentatonix is a pop a cappella group hailing from Arlington, Texas. They are best known for winning the third season of NBC’s reality singing competition, “The Sing Off.” The recent Grammy winners also released two full-length studio albums PTX, Vols. 1 and 2 in 2014. The five member group consists of Scott Hoying, Mitch Grassi, Kirstie Maldonado, Avi Kaplan and Kevin Olusola.

Eric Hutchinson’s single “Watching You Watching Him” from his album Moving Up, Living Down was featured on “Grey’s Anatomy” and he has been compared to Jason Mraz (with whom he has toured) and Stevie Wonder in style. He has also toured with Joe Jackson and One Republic. He previously supported Kelly Clarkson at various venues in 2009 and 2010 and now joins her this year on her summer tour.

Piece by Piece is Kelly Clarkson’s seventh studio album and it contains only original songs. She’s been vocal about the fact that she wanted it to feel like a soundtrack album, filled with stories along the lines of Love Actually. She told Wall Street Journal that it’s most important to her that any album she does translates well live. She said, “I always want the record to be able to translate. I feel like if you like a record, it doesn’t always translate live. Or the artist doesn’t pull it off live. I always want my record to be better on stage.”

She also named “Invincible,” which was co-written by Sia and others as her favorite track from the record. It’s an empowerment song that mirrors the fact that Clarkson herself has grown up since her “American Idol” days. The Sunday, July 26 concert at DTE Energy Music Theatre in Clarkston starts at 7 p.m. ET.
