German Spanish guitarist and performer Ottmar Liebert and his band Luna Negra will bring their Nouveau Flamenco style of music to Anaheim’s City National Grove this September as part of their summer-into-fall North American tour. The trio comprised of Liebert along with bassist Jon Gagan and drummer/percussionist Chris Steele will perform in 28 cities across the United States starting on Sept. 1 in Las Vegas, a running until Nov. 18 with a final show in The Woodlands, Texas.

The Sept. 9 concert at City National Grove will come early on in the tour, following their performance the night prior in Ojai, California. Throughout the tour, the band will also perform in both major and secondary concert markets as they dance into the fall months ranging from Pasadena to New York City. They’ll also perform a handful of gigs throughout Florida towards the tail end of the tour, including scheduled stops at Fort Lauderdale’s Broward Center Amaturo Theater on Nov. 8, and Clearwater’s Capitol Theater a few nights later on Nov. 10.

Since forming Luna Negra back in the late 1980s, Liebert has established himself as a premier musician and song composer within the Spanish, Mexican and world music genres. Their trademark style of Nouveau Flamenco (new flamenco) has earned the group numerous platinum album sales in both the United States and abroad. Liebert’s most recent studio album, The Complete Santa Fe Sessions, arrived earlier this spring back on May 1, and can be partially heard in the Spotify stream below.
