The Hollywood Walk of Fame has announced the celebrities who will receive iconic stars on the prestigious sidewalks in 2019. The exact dates of each ceremony in 2019 are to be announced. In the recording/music category, the star recipients are Michael Bublé, Cypress Hill, The Lettermen, Faith Hill, Tommy Mottola, P!nk, Teddy Riley, Trio (Dolly Parton, Linda Ronstadt and Emmylou Harris) and Jackie Wilson.
The Hollywood Walk of Fame' 2019 star honorees in the category of motion pictures are Alan Arkin, Kristen Bell, Daniel Craig, Robert De Niro, Guillermo del Toro, Anne Hathaway, Lupita Nyong’o, Tyler Perry and Gena Rowlands.
The TV category will have Alvin and the Chipmunks, Candice Bergen, Julia Child, Guy Fieri, Terrence Howard, Stacy Keach, Sid and Marty Krofft, Lucy Liu, Mandy Moore and Dianne Wiest.
Living recipients of the Hollywood Walk of Fame stars are required to attend the ceremony in order to receive the star. Honorees are chosen by the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce's Walk of Fame Selection Committee, which receives about 200 nominations each year. According to the Hollywood Walk of Fame, there is a $40,000 fee to create, install and maintain each star. The fee is usually paid by the star's fan club or another organization associated with the celebrity (such as a movie studio, TV company or record company), which is why Hollywood Walk of Fame ceremonies are usually close to the release of a celebrity's latest project. The Hollywood Walk of Fame (located on the sidewalks of Hollywood Boulevard and Vine Street in Los Angeles) gets about 10 million visitors a year, making it one of the city's top tourist attractions, according to the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce.
