Some of country music's top acts will be heading to New York City in 2019 to celebrate Texas Independence Day. The event will take place at Terminal 5 on March 9 and will include Pat Green, Eli Young Band, Casey Donahew and Wade Bowen.
This is the 10th anniversary of the New York City annual salute to Texas Independence Day and there is a special deal for people with Texas ties. Anyone with a Texas-based tattoo or wearing an article of clothing with a Texas college on it will receive a free drink at the concert.
Pat Green and Eli Young Band are both Texas originals and are spreading the love for their home state with this show up north. Green is from San Antonio and hit it big nationally before returning to his Texas-indie roots. His most recent album Home hit in 2015.
The Eli Young Band formed in the Dallas-Fort Worth area and their latest album hit in 2017 with Fingerprints. They were nominated for Vocal Group of the year in 2017 at the ACM Awards.
