Cleveland will rock on Aug. 17, when Paul McCartney brings his "One on One" tour to Quicken Loans Arena in his first solo concert stop in the city in 14 years. McCartney revealed the return in a press release Tuesday as part of a series of announcements regarding additional tour dates added to his 2016 schedule.

McCartney last played Cleveland on April 29, 2002 as part of his Driving World Tour, when the Quicken Loans Arena was still known under its original name of Gund Arena and looked a lot different. The venue was renamed and renovated three years later by Quicken Loans executive Dan Gilbert - also the majority owner of the NBA's Cleveland Cavaliers, which call the arena home.

To further put that into perspective, since McCartney has been there the arena has played host to two years of the NBA Finals (2007 and 2015), two different years of the NCAA Division I Men's Basketball Tournament (2011 and 2015), four WWE pay per view wrestling shows (2004, 2008, 2014 and 2016), one Arena Football championship game (2014) and the first Republican presidential debate in 2015.

Shortly before the concert, the venue will also be the site of the 2016 Republican National Convention in July.

But it was one of six new stops that McCartney has added to the "One on One" tour since April 13. Below are the rest of the new concerts that the legendary rocker announced this week, with tickets for linked dates available through AXS:

July 10 - US Bank Arena (Cincinnati, Ohio)
July 12 - Citizens Bank Park (Philadelphia, Pa.)
July 19 - Hersheypark Stadium (Hershey, Pa.)
Aug. 7 - MetLife Stadium (East Rutherford, N.J.)
Aug. 9 - Verizon Center (Washington, DC)

In addition to the Cincinnati and New Jersey dates, tickets to three other shows are also available at AXS:

May 4 - Target Center (Minneapolis, Minn.)
May 5 - Target Center (Minneapolis, Minn.)
Aug. 13 - Busch Stadium (St. Louis, Mo.)

Tickets for the Cleveland concert are on sale now to American Express credit card holders, either through the Quicken Loans Arena website, in person at the venue's box office, or by calling (888) 894-9424. The public on-sale begins Monday, April 25 at 10 a.m. ET.
