Paul McCartney has been in a candid mood lately. The legendary musician has sat down for two high-profile interviews recently, one with Howard Stern and one with Marc Maron.

Marc Maron has certainly had some big stars on his “WTF” podcast, but perhaps none larger than Sir Paul McCartney. As Pitchfork reported, Macca recently sat down with Maron in front of a live audience to rap with the comedian about a range of topics including his time with the Beatles, the band’s relationship with the Rolling Stones and rivalries with The Who and the Beach Boys, as well as an intriguing story about cultural appropriation and Fela Kuti. You can listen to the Marc Maron interview here.

Ahead of the Maron interview, McCartney sat down with Howard Stern, who has a knack for getting people to open up. According to Variety, Paul reveals some interesting aspects about Beatles songs and speaks on the oft talked about but rarely understood the relationship between himself, John Lennon and Yoko Ono. The Howard Stern interview will be available on demand through SiriusXM as a part of their Beatles Week.

Paul’s first album in five years, Egypt Station, arrives September 7. You can listen to the single "Fuh You" above. Macca is set to hit the road around the record later this year for his Freshen Up tour with American dates coming summer of 2019. Click here to browse AXS for select Paul McCartney dates.
