Paul McCartney reveals details on expanded edition of 'Egypt Station'

Paul McCartney has some exciting news for fans who loved his chart-topping 2018 studio album Egypt Station. The iconic British rocker has unveiled details of an upcoming expanded box set “Egypt Station - Traveller’s Edition,” which drops on May 10 via Capitol.

The ex-Beatle made the announcement on Feb. 14 via Facebook ahead of the 2019 launch of his Freshen Up Tour, which kicks off March 21 in Santiago, Chile, at National Stadium. The deluxe edition will be limited to 3000 numbered sets and will be boxed in a vintage suitcase with unreleased tracks and rarities along with numerous other bonuses.

“Traveller's Edition” includes the unreleased tracks “Frank Sinatra's Party,” “Sixty Second Street,” as well as an extended version of the album's latest single “Who Cares.” Other bonuses include four live versions of Egypt Station tracks, recorded at Macca's gigs at Grand Central Station, The Cavern Club, LIPA and Abbey Road Studios.

The set includes multiple audio and visual goodies, including copies of Egypt Station in special limited vinyl, CD, cassette along with digital editions with each order. Preorders for “Egypt Station - Traveller’s Edition” will begin on Feb. 15. Click here for more details.

The 18-time Grammy winner recently added new Freshen Up Tour dates on July 6 in Vancouver, BC, at BC Place Stadium and June 29 in Las Vegas at T-Mobile Arena.
