Paul Oakenfold is one of the top record producers and DJs working in the industry today. As a result, he gets some interesting opportunities and his next project will have a lot of people watching the results carefully.

Oakenfeld, along with MK, Richy Ahmed and Groove Armada will work to rework the GRAMMY award-winning 1986 album Graceland by Paul Simon. The album was the seventh by Simon and arguably his greatest work as a solo artist. It sold over 16 million copies and ranks as one of the best albums of the '80s, regardless of genre.

The 1986 album was also Simon's first top 10 hit in over a decade, peaking at third on the Billboard charts. The album also contained four singles, three of which charted. They include one of Simon's signature songs, "You Can Call Me Al," which peaked at 23rd, as well as the GRAMMY-winning single "Graceland" and "The Boy in the Bubble." The only single that didn't chart on the main Billboard charts was "Diamonds on the Soles of Her Shoes."

Richy Ahmed remixed "The Boy in the Bubble." Groove Armada tackled "You Can Call Me Al." Paul Oakenfold remixed "Crazy Love, Vol. II." Overall, there are 12 artists who contributed to Graceland - The Remixes. The album goes on sale on June 1 and the first five songs hit on April 6.

On a related note, Paul Simon is currently on the road with his Farewell Tour. He will play the Amway Center in Orlando on Sept. 11 and AXS has tickets available now (buy tickets here).
