Phoebe Bridgers, Julien Baker and Lucy Dacus have shared the first taste of new music from their recently formed indie rock supergroup, Boygenius. The trio of popular guitarists and singers released three new singles on Tuesday morning, providing a fantastic introduction to their collaborative efforts. The songs titled “Me & My Dog,” “Bite The Hand” and “Stay Down” will all appear on their six-track, self-titled EP when it arrives on Nov. 9, Consequence of Sound reports.

The new singles are available on major streaming platforms, and can be heard (partially) in the stream embeds below. All three tracks offer a unique introduction to what the three musicians brought to the table for what was simply a one-day recording session in Los Angeles for their album’s initial tracking. Each of the songs showcases all three members taking the lead role in terms of vocals, but you can hear their harmonizing and teamwork work subtly well in parts throughout. The songs also offer a sense of diversity in the lyrics and melodies, which certainly mirror the different artistic personalities behind the three women. “Bite The Hand” and “Stay Down” are a bit more solemn, while “Me & My Dog” offers more of an upbeat and optimistic lyrical storyline.

“When we met, Lucy and Phoebe and I were in similar places in our lives and our musical endeavors, but also had similar attitudes toward music that engendered an immediate affinity,” Baker explained in a statement. “Lucy and Phoebe are incredibly gifted performers, and I am a fan of their art outside of being their friends, but they are also both very wise, discerning and kind people whom I look up to in character as much as in talent.”

The trio also announced their live performance plans of taking their supergroup on the road this fall with a 19-date North American tour scheduled to begin on Nov. 4 in Nashville. The tour will make stops at venues like New York’s Brooklyn Steel (two nights), Denver’s Ogden Theatre and a hometown show for Bridgers at Los Angeles’ The Wiltern on Nov. 30 for the final show of the fall trek. Tickets for select shows on the upcoming tour will be going on sale starting this Friday, August 24, and can be purchased by clicking here.
