Phosphorescent announces fall 2018 world tour

Here’s a challenge one can play with their friends. Try saying the word “Phosphorescent” three times without pulling the name.

Not only does the indie singer have one of the more unique names in the business, but he is finally getting recognition for his music more than his funky name. Phosphorescent's sound is a blend of indie rock and pop. His musical journey hasn’t been easy, but now, he can taste the sweet joy of stardom right there on his tongue.

That stardom was realized in 2007 when Phosphorescent released Pride, his fifth LP and his first for current label Dead Ocean. That album was recognized by Stylus Magazine as the 12th best album of that year, and it showed Phosphorescent (b. Matthew Houck) that there was indeed a market for his sound.

12 years later, Phosphorescent has shown no signs of slowing down. He has a new single out, "New Birth In New England," which will be the lead single off of his new LP, C'est La Vie', due out this October. Also, this fall, he’ll embark on a world tour that will take him to cities near and far. Here’s the complete tour itinerary and ticket information, and keep in mind that all venues and dates are subject to change.
