Frontman vocalist and guitarist, Evan Stephens Hall, and drummer/vocalist, Zack Levine, originally came together to form a band known as The Pug Flies in the sixth grade. The following year, the duo renamed their collective Dogwater only for them to finally land on the moniker Pinegrove years later in reference to the Brown Family Environmental Center at Kenyon College where Hall and former keyboardist, Nandi Plunkett attended. The now six-man indie rock band has released a total of three studio albums, two of which in Meridian (2012) and Skylight (2018) are self-released.

Now, Pinegrove is preparing to release their latest musical offering in Marigold later this year. The "Size of the Moon" performers have also revealed that they will be embarking on a cross-country tour this fall at the top of Sept. Pinegrove will be hitting all the major markets including Chicago, Philadelphia, New York, Los Angeles, and more.
