Fans who attended Panorama Music Festival in New York City back in July probably enjoyed the three-day music festival in a much more efficient manner than most, considering they had the option to go back and enjoy the music rather than waiting around for their food. Such culinary efficiency is exactly the plan for fans and vendors at Tyler, The Creator’s Camp Flog Gnaw Carnival at Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles this weekend. As Billboard reports, the music festival’s producers (Goldenvoice) have once again teamed up with Postmates so fans can get back to the music while waiting for their artisanal avocado baguette or whatever overly-healthy snacks people eat in Los Angeles these days.
According to the report, Postmates - a company which operates a network of couriers who deliver goods on a local basis - will help hungry attendees who order food but don’t want to miss a performance while waiting. Participating “pickup vendors” at the festival will have specialized menus with an established geo-perimeter around Dodger Stadium throughout the two-day event. Fans can use the company’s app to order and pay for the food sold by said participating vendors, which will send a pick-up time and location where hungry fans can head to complete the process when their food is ready. The report also states that many of the vendors scheduled to be on-site, as well as local Los Angeles-area residents, already utilize the delivery-based app in their everyday lives.
“We were incredibly excited by the reaction to Pickup at Panorama,” Postmates’ Eric Edge said about partnering with Goldenvoice for another big event. “Pickup makes it easier and faster for customers to enjoy this part of the festival without sacrificing another.”
Tickets for this year’s Camp Flog Gnaw are sold out, so if fans are still looking for a way in, they’d better start combing through StubHub. The two-day event is scheduled with performances by Tyler, The Creator (duh), Kanye West and Kid Cudi’s Kids See Ghosts collaboration, SZA, The Internet, Ms. Lauryn Hill and many more.
