Living in the age of information has enabled us to immortalize our favorite public figures whether they be entertainers, political figures, or martyrs. With the use of the internet, we have the ability to curate online shrines for our idols in the form of YouTube videos and social media posts and we can even collect our favorite memorabilia and items our heroes actually utilized in their day to day lives with a single online search. Luckily, for those interested in preserving the memories of some of our deceased and still existing living legends, there is an opportunity to purchase a small piece of their lives in an upcoming event produced by acclaimed auctioneer house, Julien's Auctions

This upcoming weekend, Julien's will be auctioning off hundreds of valuables belonging to Michael Jackson, Prince, Jimi Hendrix, Bob Dylan, The Beatles, Aretha Franklin (who has a never-before-seen documentary on the way entitled, Amazing Grace), Madonna, Elvis Presley as well as Woodstock memorabilia and so much more. Specific items up for grabs will include a tailored tuxedo jacket worn by Madonna on stage, a leather motorcycle jacket formerly belonging to Bob Dylan, extremely rare magnetic tape recordings of Jimi Hendrix, and Prince's white Collings 290 guitar supposedly used during one of his final live performances. 

On Nov. 9 and 10, Saturday and Sunday, the plethora of historic articles belonging to these legendary figures will be up for auction from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. EST at the Hard Rock Cafe Times Square in New York. The items will be auctioned off for those in attendance as well as online participates simultaneously. For those who wish to bid on any particular item, you will have to register in person or online via a registration form found on the Julien's Auctions website, here.
