Hip-hop fans rejoice at the news that legendary rappers Public Enemy have released a new album titled, Nothing Is Quick in the Desert. As an added bonus, the iconic group has made the album available as a free download on their Bandcamp page until midnight on July 4, Eastern Standard Time. The album consists of 13 tracks, featuring several additional influential artists and emcees like Ice-T, PMD of EPMD, Solé, and Sammy Vegas. It was produced by David "CDOC" Snyder, alongside several others including Public Enemy’s own DJ Lord and Professor Griff.

According to Rolling Stone, in a statement, founding member Chuck D said, "’Nothing Is Quick In The Desert’ is a saying I use when the average person looks at the record industry," Chuck D said in a statement. "It looks dead like a desert. But there's plenty of life in the desert when one is educated on what they see and hear.”

Nothing Is Quick in the Desert is Public Enemy’s fourteenth studio album and continues their tradition of delivering socially and politically charged messages through their music. The album is also the group’s first release since 2015’s Man Plans God Laughs.

“After 30 years, 106 tours across 105 countries and countless records, THANK YOU! This one is on Public Enemy. Get it while it’s free.”- Chuck D
