On Nov. 27, alternative R&B artist R.Lum.R. took to Twitter to announce that he’ll be touring the United States starting in early 2018. As part of the Framily Matters Tour, R.Lum.R. will be playing shows in Phoenix, San Francisco, Seattle, Salt Lake City, Denver, St. Louis and Kansas City, Mo.’s own recordBar. Tickets for this sure to be sublime series of shows go on sale Dec. 1 at 10 a.m.
Bradenton, Fla. born, Nashville, Tenn. based singer-songwriter Reginald Lamar Williams Jr. studied classical guitar in his youth and one time had aspirations of becoming a virtuoso composer. However, seeing the limited commercial prospects for classical music, Williams began learning how to make electronic music. Eventually, his self-released compositions caught the attention of Atlantic Records and he soon began getting work as a songwriter.
At the same time, Williams also began releasing innovative alt-R&B and pop music via Soundcloud under the name R.Lum.R. The strong initial response that greeted these releases from prompted Williams to pursue a full-time career as a singer-songwriter. Earlier this year, William’s released his first EP, After Image, to widespread critical acclaim.
