Beef. It’s what’s for dinner. If you live by this commercial’s creed, then you’ll want to check out RARE: The Denver Steak Championships. The event will take place at The Galleria located within the Denver Center for the Performing Arts on Aug. 15. Purchase your tickets here.
Rare: The Denver Steak Championships celebrates Denver’s beefy roots with 20 of the Mile High City’s best steak joints competing head to head for the title of Denver’s Prime Cut. A panel of professional judges as well as event attendees will decide who takes home the crown for the tastiest steak in two categories: the classic “Traditional Steak” category and the more exotic “Creative Steak Dish” category.
But what’s a savory steak without a bodacious beverage? The competition will also pair prime cuts with a cocktail; so don your snazziest cocktail party attire. All the beef comes from Montana’s Meyers Natural Foods, who guarantee all natural, humanely raised meats with no antibiotics or hormones. Check out a video on how Meyers prepares their cuts above.
What’s more, the event is also for a good cause. Portions of the proceeds will benefit the Denver Health Foundation, the fundraising entity for Denver Health and Hospital Authority. Since 1998, Denver Health Foundation has procured funds to advance and sustain the health Denver and the Rocky Mountain region.
