Record Store Day announces Black Friday 2017 offers and exclusives
Too Many Records

The next Record Store Day may not take place until spring of next year, but the music-themed holiday will be giving vinyl lovers plenty of reasons to celebrate in a few weeks on Black Friday. On Thursday the organization announced their full listing of exclusive releases which will be sold the day after Thanksgiving, which takes place on Nov. 24 this year. While moms and dads spend their post-Thanksgiving hours lining up for discounted televisions and whatever else people wake up way too early the day after a holiday for, music fans will get the opportunity to buy limited releases from over 100 artists at their local record stores. Artists who will be offering limited pressings for the popular commerce holiday include Paul McCartney, Kid Cudi, Aretha Franklin, Willie Nelson, Fleet Foxes, Dan Auerbach and many, many more.

Some of the highlights from the list of albums announced on Thursday include Neil Young’s Harvest Moon being released on vinyl in North America for the first time ever, and a pair of red and green 7" LPs from Paul McCartney, which will feature a new version of his classic holiday favorite, “Wonderful Christmastime” with an appearance by The Roots. If classic rock isn’t your cup of tea, Snoop Dogg fans will get a chance to buy his latest Neva Left album on vinyl for the first time, while Gorillaz’ 2017 blockbuster release of Humanz will arrive in a double picture disc format. RUN-DMC's Darryl McDaniels will also be celebrating the release of a brand new 4-track 12" vinyl of Back From The Dead. 2017 has proved to be another big year for the Grateful Dead, as the estate of their late guitarist Jerry Garcia will give fans the chance to buy Side Trips, Vol One, which was recorded live alongside his keyboard collaborator, Howard Wales.

Record Store Day celebrated its 10th anniversary this past spring, with St. Vincent leading the way as this year's RSD Ambassador
