Reggaeton superstar J Balvin coming to Dallas for ‘Energia’ tour

Reggaeton performer J Balvin just announced a brand new North American concert tour for later in 2017 called the Energia tour. The tour will start on Sept. 14 in Virginia and J Balvin will make his way to Dallas on Oct. 1 for a show at the Verizon Theatre at Grand Prairie. Tickets go on presale for the Dallas concert right here at AXS on May 11 at 10 a.m. CST.

The J Balvin 2017 tour will feature three different Texas stops with shows in Houston on Sept. 29, Hidalgo on Sept. 29 and then the Dallas show on Oct. 1. After that, J Balvin will hit California for four shows and then cross the country for two concerts in Florida, with the tour wrapping up on Oct. 13 in Miami.

The Energia tour is named after the 2016 album from J Balvin which hit No. 1 on iTunes in 16 different countries. Balvin also won a Latin Grammy award for the album. He has performed with everyone from Pharrell Williams to Pitbull and Camila Cabello, the latter two on a song for the soundtrack for “The Fate of the Furious.”

Tickets for the J Balvin Dallas concert go on sale to the general public on May 12. Prices for the concert at the Verizon Theatre at Grand Prairie remain unknown and will be announced closer to the sale date for the show. Buchanan’s Whisky is supporting J Balvin and has sponsored this tour.
