Ringo Starr announced Nov. 29th that he'll take a new edition of his All-Starr Band on a 21-date tour of Europe starting June 5 and going into July of next year. The shows will be the All-Starr Band's first European dates since 2011. The itinerary will include shows in Austria, Belgium, The Czech Republic, Denmark, France, Finland, Germany, Monaco, The Netherlands, Israel and Italy.

This 13th version of Ringo's All-Starrs will include two changes from the previous one -- Graham Gouldman from 10cc and former Ringo All-Starr Colin Hay from Men At Work. They will be joining current members Steve Lukather, Gregg Rolie, Gregg Bissonette and Warren Ham. The new lineup is minus Todd Rundgren and Richard Page (Mr. Mister) who had been part of the All-Starrs' 12th lineup since 2011. That group of musicians just completed an American tour of 19 shows that began in October in Las Vegas and ended Nov. 16 in Newark, N.J.

The Beatles drummer also released a new album, Give More Love, his 19th studio disc, in September. The album was recorded at his home and engineered by Bruce Sugar. It features guest appearances by many of his friends, including fellow Beatle Paul McCartney, Dave Stewart, Edgar Winter, Peter Frampton, Benmont Tench, Timothy B. Schmit, his brother-in-law Joe Walsh and All-Starrs Steve Lukather and Richard Marx. The disc includes four bonus tracks with remakes of past Ringo songs. One of them is a new version of “Back Off Boogaloo” that combines the song's original recording that was recently rediscovered by Ringo with newly added vocals and instrumentation.

The Beatles have announced that on Dec. 15, just in time for the holidays, they are releasing “The Christmas Records,” a limited edition vinyl box set of the seven Christmas messages they released annually from 1963 to 1969 to members of their official fan club. The set will include each message on a separate seven-inch colored vinyl record housed in a sleeve with the original flexi disc sleeve artwork and will also feature a 16-page booklet with recording notes and copies of the fan club’s original newsletters.

Ringo and the 12th edition of the All-Starrs also have contributed a short video to Bedstock, a website featuring musicians playing music in bed for children who are in bed with illnesses themselves. You can see the All-Starr Band video, a version of “Yellow Submarine,” on this page. Other contributors to the site are Ed Sheeran, Nick Jonas and the Breeders.
