Ringo Starr is celebrating his birthday on Friday by spreading plenty of peace and love, in addition to releasing a new single and announcing his upcoming album to be appropriately titled, Give More Love.
The upcoming LP, which will be the iconic drummer’s 19th solo album, is reportedly set to feature cameos from fellow classic rockers Paul McCartney, Joe Walsh, Edgar Winter, Peter Frampton and Jagged Little Pill producer Glen Ballard. Give More Love is set for release on Sept. 15, and is available for pre-order now. The album’s first single and title track was released on Friday, and can be heard below.
Star is also set to celebrate his annual trip around the sun with an equally impressive birthday bash at the famous Capitol Records tower in Los Angeles on Friday. The evening includes scheduled performances of Ringo's famous songs by Don Was, Jenny Lewis, Beach Boys lyricist Van Dyke Parks, Michael Bearden and more. Ringo will also appear on his Facebook page via a live video at 12 p.m. PST to share more "Peace and Love" to fans around the world.
