RL Grime announces Nova tour, teams with Miguel for a new banger

Bass music favorite RL Grime is back with another banger. And he’s taking his show on the road.

Just days after debuting “Stay For It,” his excellent new single with R&B star Miguel, RL Grime has announced a new tour, which is set for this fall. The Nova tour kicks off on Oct. 12 at the Vogue Theatre in Vancouver, BC and wraps with a Nov. 18 date at the 1STBANK Center in Broomfield, CO. General on sale begins this Friday, June 9; check out a full list of Grime’s tour dates below.

Last week, RL Grime -- Henry Steinway to his parents -- announced his new project Nova through a newsletter mailed out to select fans across the globe. According to Dancing Astronaut, the 26-year-old producer told fans that his new project isn’t simply an album but a “user-influenced multi-platform voyage.”

“Nova will define and encompass every part of the RL Grime project over the coming years,” Steinway wrote. “More than just an album, or a show, or a single narrative, I want the Nova project to create spaces where you can feel part of the process and support platforms for your own ideas, while allowing me to share mine too. So it won’t just be me setting the storyline. Your input and the way you engage with my music and performance has always driven me forward, and will be a vital part of what I do over the coming year.”

That certainly sounds intriguing and based on the dynamic, sensuous “Stay For It,” the early results in project Nova are promising. Check out the first batch of Nova tour dates below, listen to “Stay For It" above and keep it here on AXS.com for more news on RL Grime’s fascinating new chapter.
