Rod Stewart shows no signs of slowing down in 2018. Along with his ongoing Las Vegas residency at The Colosseum At Caesars and upcoming tour of North America with Cyndi Lauper, the iconic British rocker has completed a new studio album Blood Red Roses, which will drop later this year.
Ultimate Classic Rock reports on March 7 that the two-time Rock and Roll Hall of Famer unveiled the news during a radio interview on Tuesday with WFPK in Louisville, Kentucky. The two-time Rock and Roll Hall of Famer and Lauper made a promotional appearance and chatted with host Kyle Meredith about their upcoming U.S. tour leg, which launches with a two-night stand June 25 – June 26 in Los Angeles at the Hollywood Bowl.
Rod the Mod revealed that new album has been completed and will likely drop in early summer or the fall. A follow up to 2015's highly successful Another Country, Blood Red Roses will be Sir Rod's 30th studio album and contains 12 tracks with 11 self-penned by the ex-Faces star. "My album's finished," Stewart tells WFPK. “It's called Blood Red Roses. It's absolutely fantastic.”
Prior to his tour with Lauper, Stewart will launch a solo tour of Canada, which includes a few U.S. stops.The spring romp kicks off March 22 in Toronto at Air Canada Centre and wraps up April 14 in Billings, Mont., at Rimrock Auto Arena at Metrapark.
The “Maggie May” hitmaker then heads back to Sin City to continue his hugely successful “Rod Stewart: The Hits” residency. The summer run will take place between June 12 – June 30 in Las Vegas at The Colosseum At Caesars. Stewart's U.S. summer tour with Lauper is slated to wrap up Sept. 1 in Seattle at White River Amphitheater. Grab your tickets now at AXS.
