Rolling Stones expand 2017 tour of Europe with new show in Paris

Rolling Stones fans will have at least one more opportunity to catch the legendary British rockers on their upcoming Stones – No Filter Tour.  The Rock and Roll Hall of Famers have added a third and final show to their multi-night run in Paris due to popular demand, that will take place Oct. 25 at the brand new U Arena.

The “Jumpin' Jack Flash” hitmakers made the announcement on May 17 via a news release posted at their official Rolling Stones website. The Stones were selected as the first artists to ever perform in the brand new state-of-the-art stadium with their initial two-night stand Oct. 19 – Oct. 22 in Paris at U Arena.

The new show brings the total number of gigs up to 14 dates on the upcoming European romp. Produced by AEG Presents affiliate Concerts West, the No Filter Tour will launch Sept. 6 in Hamburg, Germany, at Stadtpark in support of the multi-platinum seller's chart-topping release Blue & Lonesome, which dropped Dec. 2 via Polydor/Universal.

The World's Greatest Rock N' Roll Band recently passed along plans for the upcoming celebration of guitarist Ronnie Wood's birthday. The two-time Rock and Roll Hall of Famer will turn 70 years old on June 1 and The Stones have requested fans send  in happy birthday wishes via messages, photos and video using the hashtag #Ronnie70. Stones drummer extraordinaire Charlie Watts will also be also be celebrating a birthday in June. The Wembley Whammer, who recently was honored with the Jazz FM Gold Award for his contributions to jazz and blues at a ceremony held April 25 at London's  Shoreditch Hall, will turn 76 years old the day after Wood on June 2.
