Rough Trade NYC to host Best Coast on Oct. 8

Rough Trade NYC will host lo-fi indie rock duo Best Coast on Sunday, Oct. 8 at 9 p.m.. Also on the bill is special guest Pearl Charles.

It’s been two years since Best Coast released California Nights, their critically acclaimed, ‘90s alt-rock influenced third studio long-player. The album, which emerged in May 2015 on the Capitol Records imprint Harvest Records, was recorded with award winning record producer, Wally Gagel, who has worked with the likes of Robert DeLong and The Mowglis. California Nights reached No. 3 on Billboard’s Independent Albums chart and gave birth to four singles: “California Nights,” “Heaven Sent,” “Feeling Ok,” and “In My Eyes.”

The Only Place, the duo’s sophomore LP, celebrated its fifth anniversary earlier this year. Landing at No. 24 on the Billboard 200 following its May 2014 release through Mexican Summer, the album spawned three singles: “The Only Place,” “Why I Cry,” and “Do You Love Me Like You Used To.”

Best Coast made their debut in July 2010 with Crazy for You, which charted at No. 36 on the Billboard 200. Four singles were released from Crazy for You: “When I’m with You,” “Boyfriend,” “Crazy for You" and “Our Deal.”

Pearl Charles is promoting her forthcoming full-length debut, Sleepless Dreamer, which is scheduled to be released in February via Kanine Records. The breezy, country-tinged pop album was preceded by its lead single and title track “Sleepless Dreamer.”

General admission tickets are available for $25 here at Doors open at 8 p.m. for the 16 & over event. Rough Trade NYC is located at 64 North 9th Street in Brooklyn, New York. For more information, visit Best Coast’s website, Pearl Charles on Facebook, and Rough Trade NYC’s website.
