Musician Rufus Wainwright is showing no signs of slowing down in 2018--even in the midst of a current run of shows, he's announced a stop in Anaheim this spring.
The singer-songwriter will play City National Grove on Friday, March 9, and it's not the only show he has planned for the New Year--he'll also be performing with the Philly Pops later this month, followed by spending February in Florida.
However, a number of live shows aren't the only plans Wainwright has for 2018. In the fall he'll be premiering a new opera, Hadrian, in Toronto. It's a medium he's worked in before, having penned his first opera, Prima Donna, in 2009. He's also set Shakespearean sonnets to music and is known for his lovely covers, most notably Leonard Cohen's "Hallelujah" and most recently a sweet, subdued take on Stevie Wonder's "Signed Sealed Delivered (I’m Yours)," released last spring to benefit L.A.-based charity The Art Of Elysium.
Tickets for the March 9 show in Anaheim are on sale now right here on AXS, including AXS Premium seating and dinner packages.
