Bud Light has announced that Sam Hunt, Dashboard Confessional, Lil Jon and Harry Hudson will perform at the first Bud Light Getaway, which takes July 14, 2018, at the Burroughs & Chapin Pavilion Place in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. Ticket proceeds will be donated to the Surfrider Grand Strand Chapter, which aids in the maintenance and preservation of beaches in the Myrtle Beach area.
The event, which is open to people ages 21 and over, will also feature pop-ups throughout the venue, such as Bud Light's mobile brewery, a Stitch Shop with exclusive Bud Light Getaway merchandise, Dive Bar for intimate musical performances and a Citrus Summer Lounge.
Country singer Hunt has been touring steadily since the release of his 2014 debut album, Montevallo. There's no word yet on when his second album will be released. Dashboard Confessional's seventh studio album, Crooked Shadows, was released in February 2018, and the band has been touring in support of the album. Hip-hop artist Lil Jon has not released an album since 2010's Crunk Rock, but he has kept himself in the public eye with performances and TV appearances. Folk/pop singer Harry Hudson is best known for being a close friend of reality TV star Kylie Jenner. Hudson's debut album, Yesterday's Tomorrow Night, was released in March 2018.
The Bud Light Getaway is the brand's latest marketing initiative to promote Bud Light through live music performances. The Bud Light Dive Bar Tour for 2018 kicked off April 4 with a performance by Post Malone in Nashville. Artists who performed on the Bud Light Dive Bar Tour in previous years included Lady Gaga, John Mayer and G-Eazy.
